I was thinking the exact same thing. Not only people who travel alot and use different pharmacies but what about people who decide to get care in a different state? For example someone who may live in the Midwest but have been referred to say Massachusetts General?? If they were using DR's in the oncology department, they could have prescriptions for some heavy duty pain meds and plenty of them. If they were driving through Georgia and got pulled over, would you mention all of your pain meds and other meds from Mass Gen??? I think we all need to try and treat online medical care with the same respect as using a PCP and your local Walgreens.

I am VERY glad that you (the original poster) didnt have to sit in a jail cell and go through potentially deadly wd from xanax!!!

On the missing meds..... Did they empty the bottle and hand it back to you???? I dont think that is in any way legal!!!! Try and look at it from the same point of view. If you had an rx from an oncology department and was in jail for a night, got out and had an empty bottle???? That is just unacceptable!!! Maybe you should speak to an attorney, just to get the correct info and maybe gain some insight as to how your particular county views and handles situations regarding OP's. There could be other things involved, if they thought you were drunk, maybe they thought you were under the influence of xanax and that had something to do with the pills being taken??? evidence??

I dont know really, I hope you have gotten replacements and at least have taken care of the health side of it. Take care and keep us updated!!
