Yep- been through that. Even with a slow taper that avoids the worst withdrawal symptoms, you're bound to get something- I've been through the energy slump and the moodiness. Don't know if your bowel movements are any different, but they were for me when I was tapering and went through the mental stuff you describe.
Wish I had a solution for ya. Of course you know more hydro will do it, but all it takes is one slip-up on the taper to ruin things. What actually worked a little for me was phentermine that a friend gave me, gave me energy without being so speedy it aggravated withdrawal and made me a little more willing to face the day on a dose of hydro I knew I could barely feel. Also what has helped me in the past has been to get on Wellbutrin a few weeks before starting a taper (though you can start it any time). It seems to be the antidepressant of choice for quitting various substances, as it's thought to have an effect on dopamine (which supposedly underlies all addiction)- it gives you a bit of an energy/mood bost, it has definitely made the difference for me.
Good luck voyager and hang in there- you're down to 2 10 mg's that's great, keep on keeping on and you'll get through it.
