Thank you so much for posting that story...it gives me hope.
Just because I have done this cold turkey does not mean I wish to do it again, plus I am coming to the decision that the more stress the body undergoes, the more the pain highways light up with traffic; so a smooth and easy detox before switching to non-opiate meds would give so much more help to their effectiveness. One could even evaluate where they were pain-wise, if not constantly having to keep a med level problem at bay.
OH if only if only, we could all really admit in this society that pain exists and then cheerfully bend our hearts and spirits to delivering all that suffer. The gratitude, the laughter, the income, the hope....
