I have had this done numerous times. Had this test done 25 yrs ago. For those that think it is bad now, you should have had one then. It was quite painful.
The test is "uncomfortable" I must admit. I have had two on my arm, one on my hip and leg and as a matter of fact have to have one done today at 10:30 on my shoulders and back. They use one thing to do the shocks first. That does not really hurt, but it will make your muscles jump. Then they use the needle and put that on the nerve ending and they do have to move it around a bit and it will register on the screen, it is also noisey. I am sure your doc is good and if they know what they are doing it goes pretty quick. Afterwards you might have a bit of irritation in the nerves but it isn't bad. Good luck to you.
