Hi Mrscoach,
The white pills that you got ("mallies") are also a generic brand. If they work better for you, why go with the extra expense of the vicodin? You can always call the pharmacy and ask which brand they carry (Mallies or watsons are the two most popular). Some of the pharmacies carry both (Woody's carries both - if they ever start filling again! ) and will allow you to request the generic you prefer. Your best bet is to call the pharmacy ahead of time and ask. BTW - from what I have read here, most people do NOT like the mallies. Personally I have noticed no difference at all. The mallies are also better for people that are sensitive to dyes.
