Quite honestly, I don't see why this is such a disgusting topic. I mean, we all have bowels and it is a natural act. Animal and man both do it, so why is it disgusting exactly, other than the odor emitted in the process? To me, it is a private act we all prefer to perform alone, but why should it be labled disgusting when we discuss it?
I once had some descriptions of my excrements that I thought needed to be shared with my gastro and he acted appalled, stating, "Now that was a little more information than I needed." For crying out loud, he was my friggin' doctor and I shouldn't have been made to feel like I couldn't share the strange and unusual with him, where my health is concerned.
I have to ask this question. If there are no built toxins in our bodies, then riddle me this.
Before 1998 I never had an allergy to anything...well, other than bee stings. But never to foods or medicines. One fine day, after having my gall bladder removed, it was discovered I was allergic to sulfa. From that point on, I started experiencing Severe Allergic reactions daily. It was recurring for 4 months!!! I came close to dealth numeros times and the allergist labeled it Idiopathic Anaphylaxis. In other words, they couldn't figure out what I was allergic to. There were no patterns and nothing mathced up when it came to those episodes.
One of the questions I posed to my gastro was if it has something to do with my liver not processing the things I ingested properly. Of course he dismissed this, as doctors usually do sinc they're not too fond of us patients grandstanding them in any way, shape, or form.
I tried researching this topic but to no avail. But one thing did occur to me, just everything we put into our bodies is accumulative. If there was an accumulative agent within our bodies, what's so difficult to believe that something poisonous and toxic wouldn't develope?
I've got to tell you, whenever I have one of those allergic reactions, it literally feels like my body is full of toxins and trying to rid of them. I become violently ill and it makes me wonder just how far my liver damage has progressed. I mean, after all, if the liver is not functioning properly, now can we expect it to transform certain meds and other ingestibles into the "good stuff"?
