Anti-psychotic meds are the only psychotropic that I know of that are supposed to cause TD. Now there have been several cases where SSRIs appear to be causing TD like symptoms, this is a really unreported issue that needs more investigation.

Benzos all expect for Diazapam, have been known to cause forms of EPS. Again EPS is not perminant, and most people taking benzos are not even aware they are suffering from a mild from of EPS. It is rare that the EPS gets so bad that the person taking a benzo will report the side effect, or that it would even be bad enough to consider treating.

Ambien is stll a "new" benzo, but Im not aware of it causing tics. Did your negative side effects subside as you ceased the use of Ambien? (Maybe a PM topic)
