I agree with the other posters. 2 mgs of Haldol is a huge amount, be careful. I would not take it either. It is rarely prescribed for sleeplessness. Take Ambien, it is much better and you don't need so much. But caution if taken on a long term basis, your tolerance increases and you may have a few side effects not at first though. If you need more info on Ambien pm me, I used to take it for three years. I am also surprised if he was going to give you a benzo for sleep he did not rx you Restoril or Ativan.
