Hello everyone.
I am so glad that someone finally came forward about this. I am new here, but reading the posts in every forum for quite some time. And this is just the thing I was looking for. Last year, I started having really irregular periods (1 a week) and thought, Oh, its just my age. Finally last March, I broke down and went to my Dr and we did an ultrasound. But that turned up nothing. Then just over the holidays,(thanksgiving to be exact), I started a period and low and behold it just barely ended. My Dr gave me some provera to stop the bleeding, but with the severe cramps and backache, motrin and aleve were not cutting it. So I asked for some pain medication which she gave me. Now I have an appt with an OBGYN on the 28th to discuss the possiblities of hysterectomy. Does anyone else think this would be a wise decision? I am really tired of all this irregular periods, and becuase of the recent bleeding problem, I was concerned that I would acutally have to require surgery based on a emergency situation. And I dont want to have to wait until that happens. Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreicated.
