Flaming/Flame Wars
Flaming is reacting to someone's board posting or PM in a hostile manner by publicly chastising the person or bombarding the person with nasty posts or PM's. Flaming may occur to users that engage in behavior that violates what is considered proper board netiquette. A flame war occurs when two or more users flame each other in an escalating manner that threatens to continue unabated. If you notice a flame war developing just notify the moderator or adminitrator and let them handle it. Do not take part in flame wars. If you do you will be banned even if you did not start it :-)

UPDATE:
cw here to update everyone. friend is still not in jail, but still nervous. she knows better than to relax. she told me yesterday that she wouldn't feel ok about the situation until three months had gone by. also, she is no longer taking narcotics. her husband took her supply and helped her ween off of them. she had to go to the emergency room a week ago, and she told them not to give her narcotics because she had a history of abuse. she has been taking ultram for her pain, and although it doesn't work as good for her, she is trying to stay away from the narcotics. good for her is what i say!
here is a little bit of info that i have not put in that i will include now. she did call a lawyer, and she asked if she should check into a rehab b/c she was completely willing. he told her to definitely NOT do that. he said it would be an admission of guilt before being charged. he also said that if she didn't have any priors, she most likely would be sent to rehab as part of punishment.
another interesting note.........she told me that about four months ago, her purse was stolen and that she had everything in her purse from prescription birthcontrol to prescription percocet. she called her doc and told them that, so she knows that it is in her file. i started thinking on that, and i wonder-----if the doc got a call from the pharm and looked into her records and saw that she had her purse stolen then maybe they decided that there was no need to investigate further. ????????? just a thought. i may be grasping at straws, but it seems clear to me that everyone has such completely different ideas on the subject---one just doesn't know!
