I had a family member who actually wrote a fake script for a class III-Lorcet I believe- took the script in to the pharmacist, and took the filled script home. The pharmacist got suspicious when he saw that the patient had gotten a lot of narcotics before and called the doctor. The pharmacist then called the patient's home and threatened to press charges. I don't remember if the patient returned any of the meds(I know for a fact he had downed several before walking(yes, I said WALKING home with the meds) but somehow nothing ever happened to him regarding the incident. He later died in a hunting accident(non-drug related), but I digress. I don't know if the doc covered for him, but he got off scot-free. This was in Mississippi.
