I own my own business and have never had a problem deducting OP puchases. My accountant loves me when I give her a stack of online bills for norco and alprazolam, her comment is usually "hay gotta get what ever you can, cause your uncle sam is trying to take as much as he can".

I would check and make sure that it is acceptable if you already have insurance(as I dont), and I thought you had to be self employed to deduct med bills, but its been years since I had to fill out a 1040.
