The last time I went to the ER for a headache, they tried Toradol and Ativan, then Demerol. I had already taken Imitrex hours before and kind of knew it wasn't a migraine. I still had a headache 5 hours later when I went home. It finally went away. So I don't know if it was the Toradol or the Demerol or the Ativan or what, but whatever it was it took a LONG time to work.

I have found out that if I get enough sleep and eat at regular times I definitely decrease the frequency of the headaches. Not getting dehydrated helps a lot too.

(By the wayt, thanks again for all the suggestions. It gives me something to arm myself with the next time I see the doctor. And thanks to a DB member, a couple of doctors in my area have been recommended. I love this board...
