You've prolly already gone to the doctor by now, but here's my point anyways. I cannot take any triptans. Before my current cocky neuro, I was prescribed fioricet w/codeine, Stadol NS, and compazine suppositories. The Stadol was for really bad headaches and basically kept me out of the ER. I much prefer the suppositories to pills when it comes to nausea. The phenerghan supp. burn like hell, but compazine doesn't. so, I asked for those. My neuro now has me on a few Midrin, and a few fioricet. That's it. I believe that's why I'm going to the ER about 4 times a month now. I also have high BP, and when it gets high because of the pain, I have to go. I also get numbness in my arm and when it gets abnormal, I also go to the ER. I'm scared to death of a stroke. I hope you find something that helps you. Everyone is different. What works for one or some may not work for others.

OH, I did have to stop the Stadol NS after 8 years because I got tolerant to it, not addicted, it just took more to work than was prescribed. It's highly addictive, but if you're responsible about it, it shouldn't be a factor. It wasn't for me, even after 8 yrs. But, again, everyone is different. OH, too, I never diluted it either. I did once and it didn't work very well. Good luck. Keep us posted.
