This is NOT true, not in my case..if I am in pain so bad that i can't move, my PCP will in fact fax over a script for the oxy to my pharmacy. He has done this numerous times over the years. Maybe he sends (via mail) them the hard copy, but he does do that, I remember asking him about the laws regarding him calling in a script for the oxy's and that is when he told me that he fax's them the script. I think that there are a lot of grey lines regarding the DEA rules, and a lot of people misinterpret what we really don't understand. Just like most say that these scripts need to be in triplicate, my Dr. writes schedule 2's on a regulare prescription pad. The laws different from state to state, some require ss #'s, some don't, but wouldn't the DEA cover every state? There are too many fine lines for anyone to figure out the exact law, unless its for their state.
