Yes, it does. That is why some of the better (in meeting guidlines) OP's are requesting them. Most of those that request them say that it is required before the end of the year. So I would assume that at some point they are audited. I have had a port-a-medic visit from 1 op last year, and I have NEVER had any problems getting consults or refills, they even go out of their way to let me know when my refills are due (via telephone) and I sometimes get the earlier than the 23 days (sometimes 19-20 if a weekend is involved) So I would say that a port-a-medic visit has a lot to do in complying with that grey line of the op laws.
