Thank you all SO much for your help! I'll certainly pass all your helpful comments along to my friend. She's a shorty, like me, but is getting roundish. I'm guessing she would like to drop around 30 lb. I think she's beautiful just the way she is -- guess none of us "women-types" are ever happy with our looks.

And Jewel, I have no super-secret to keeping my weight down. Actually I don't exercise AT ALL, but know I should for health reasons cuz I sit all day at my job.

I've always said "my husband lives to eat, and I eat to live". I simply do not enjoy food -- I would love to truly enjoy food the way most folks do. I would rather be a tad overweight and love to eat rather than battle with the chore of choking down food.

I'm a "recovering anorexic". I don't get sick anymore but I have to make a conscious effort to remember to eat. I try to nibble bits of food all day to keep the stomach acid down. If I don't do this, I can't keep food down.

You larger women are beautiful! Do you realize that? Because I'm not a healthy eater, I look gaunt and sickly in color and seem to catch every "bug" that comes along.

Anyway, thanks again for all your suggestions here.
