Sophie do you know which bar to go to in your home town to purchase Oxy - I'll bet there is one there or in a nearby town. My point being I couldn't score in Puerto Vallarta either -- I probably look like either a big-mouth tourist or a DEA agent or both.

Satchmo, please correct me here, if I'm wrong, because you seem to have excellent insight into what's going on at the street level in Mexico now.

IMO the DEA & High US Gov't officials are continually putting pressure on Mexican authorities regarding the diversion of various scheduled pharms back to the US. They even changed the embossing on Oxycontin to discourage this diversion.

Mexico is a poor country; probably not a huge internal market for expensive US drugs. But easy money for some business people to divert expensive US drugs back into the US without need for a prescription etc. First, this requires payments of the appropriate fees to the proper Mexican gov't officials. Then it requires some method of getting the product back across the border. Along the Mexican/US border there are many groups, who are very sophisticated in this part of the business. The new twists are (1) how to resolve payments that may be in the form of credit card purchase from a website rather than cash and (2) making domestic US deliveries with Fedex and UPS, the way OP's now do. In a year or two, I feel confident these issues will be sorted out. Think of this as Wal-Mart moving into the Mexican drug industry.

As to supply check Economics 1a. If there is a demand, there will be a supply. It's kind of like the Drug Warriors are fighting the laws of the universe and actually thinking they can win or atleast keep conning the taxpayers out of their money and claiming they're winning
