Whatever you do, do NOT try to self inject the Lidocane! If your pain is in the upper jaw, it's called infiltration injection- you have to hit the particular vein for each specific tooth- as for the lower- there are 2 veins- one on each side of your mouth- behind your molars- trying to hit the right vein would be impossible unless you were trained to do so! Be safe. You could try applying the lidocane topically, that might help. As for the dentists not taking you on an emergency basis- I'd call around- the infection could work it's way into your blood stream if not properly treated and quickly. I'm sure they don't want that on their heads. :/ Good luck (That's from my girlie )
