My doctor writes for my methadone and has NEVER put his DEA # on the prescription. However, in MN all controlled drugs get verified by the pharmacy--so their signs say, anyway,(although they can fill them prior to verifications.)

But I always use the same pharmacy. May be just a quirky thing he does.
