NOT SURPRISING AT ALL!!! Multiple experiences with family treated at VA who were WAY over prescribed for. It was like Percocet was candy there. Most recent experience is a friend who had arthro knee surgery in July and who STILL is getting Percocet! I had my achille's tendon re-attached and bone sheared on my heel on the SAME DAY and my civilian surgeon gave me THREE DAYS worth of Percocet. And those who REALLY need pain control just can't get it! Another of life's ironies!
