Hydro shelf life?
      #99546 - 09/11/03 03:17 PM

Does Hydro really have a shelf life? I know the expiration date is typically set for 1-2 years after the fill date, but does the medication really go bad or substantially lose potency, if stored correctly?

I think it just loses potency, but this doesnt neccisarily happen exactly one or two years after the exp date, it just occurs gradually, and most pharmacies use that med so much, that they never ever have that issue. Hydrocodone is the number one filled prescription in the United States, according to www.rxlist.com
