To whom it may concern: I saw a post asking if NorcoWorldwide needs your medical records(I didn't want to post on that l-o-n-g thread, you may have never seen my reply ), I have been using them for quite some time now and the answer is NO, not at ANY
time. Remember(yet not in all cases), OPs may have to declare certain things on their site just to keep ppl off their back if ya get what I'm sayin'- but...it remains true that having your records available upon request is the most hassle-free way to go...hope this helps

I haven't had to send in anything so far. They haven't asked me for them or nothing.Just give me what I want and what I need;that's all.Plus, they changed my rx the other day and wasn't charged an extra consult fee plus, the doc sent it right over to the pharmacy for my refill, which they emailed early.I went to the refill site and it said can't refill until 8-15 b/c of the law,so why did they even send me the email for my refill on 8-10.I haven't tried to refill and I won't until I get some money. But,I don't know if that notation is made for legal purposes or what.Does anyone know the deal?
Thanks

Lala, I think they send out that email just as a courtesy, to let you know a week ahead of time that your refill is available? Not sure, but I got one as well.
You must be one of the lucky ones or something, my friend had to fax her records over before her first refill.

No medical records needed in my case, although I am hoping i didn't just jinx myself.
As for refills, I have to say that the communication between NWW and the actual pharmacy is lousy. I get my refill reminder at least two weeks early. Then it will say they can't refill until such and such date, and, well, now they are a week late delivering on top of that too. Other than that, no complaints, since the price is good, and the medications are reasonable quality.

If you do respond to that "early" refill request, they will charge your card immediately, but won't send it out until the due date. So even if you had the money now, it would make no difference.

Legitimate you are exactly right. They will normally send out a reminder at least two days before time to fill your order just as any pharmacy does. I'm pretty sure that most pharmacies now send out some kind of reminder even if they don't have "true" refills. For instance, I got a reminder the other day from Buymeds! I thought that was interesting. Especially with all the hype about Pharmanet. Hope this helps...

Well, I've shared my personal experience anyhow, never been asked for my med records from NWW, I bought 'em, they filled 'em, I got 'em...simple as that, no questions asked...

Thanks for the post,I just rec'd my meds yesterday and the bottle says 2 refills. I still don't know how much the meds actually cost since no invoice came in the pkg.
Do you have to pay the consult fee again on each refill?

Yeah, probably.I know.talked with another CP'r.I think it was just an oversight on their part, right guys? Thanks for sharing your exp.with us.I know all the places I've dealt with always have to get your MR and establish that physician-patient relationship beforehand. That's why I just went ahead and faxed them anyway,b/c I think the person was new.

Oh no, I don't think you have to pay the consult fee for your refills. The consult fee paid should be good for the two refills, then when your refills are gone you go through the process again. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong?

You are right, you only pay for the consult when you first contact them. Then you get 2 refills. After thoes have been used, then you start the process over, a new consult (with fee) and 2 more refills.

Only the cost of the meds for the 2 refills. After those are finished you can request a new consult, pay for that and get a script with that and 2 refills or you may choose to go elsewhere.

I have used them in the past and never had to send records although I do have them. Maybe with all the problems that they have been having they might be now thinking that they need to cover their butts!!

How long does it take to get the refill using St. Pete's? Someone told me 23 days?

I received my reminder refill notice last Monday stating they will refill on 9-6-03, sent it and will see what happens. No request for records.

Another thing, maybe the reason they haven't asked is b/c I have used them for well over a year now? Not sure, but maybe that has something to do with it.

When I used them, they did not request my medical records.
The last time I used them (approx. 6 months ago), I was double-billed for the consult. This made me quite gun shy to ever use them again. From reading the board, I see that they have been having the same problem in spades very recently.
I liked NWW, they were prompt. I would like to use them again, but do they have their billing problems straightened out?

Hi Beetlenut! It does seem that problem was a one-time hiccup. Many people are using pre-paid credit cards and I have used the Money Order/COD option ever since. They are still great in my opinion - fast and very responsive to emails and phone calls.

I had to send my records in and I'm glad. I like there service and if we keep posting that they dont we are helping in the process of shutting the online OP's down one by one.
