See my post(s) on this very subject on the VIP Board I think..they called me too..didn't know exactly what I was supposed to say or what the deal was..I didn't follow through as they didn't seem to know how they got my info or exactly why they were calling me..probably just going through his old files from other OPs he works for..that's all I can think of...

Do you mean Dr. Ibanez? If so, I got one from him/his office/whatever quite awhile ago also. We've moved since then and didn't have our new number given out. I guess I'm glad for that now.

Sorry - not a VIP, yet. Probably will be before next consult. I have an current Rx from Dr. Ibanez via NWW. I have not received a phone call. From reading this freeboard post, I can't quite tell what you all are talking about. Would anybody shed some light on this subject? If not, I understand. Thanks

I did receive an email from their office. I replied asking what I would need to have my records up to date or if they were ok. I received a call just about my email from them. I have used them in the past (Tri County Clinic "Dr I) I won't need a consult with them for a couple of months but times in the past I had zero problems even when POL went down. Didn't miss a beat. But I would say it sounds like they are drumming up business or calling past patients that have not had a consult in a while with them or might be due.

Hi All, With as many op's Dr.I has been associated with, both past and present, he has been able to maintain his credentials under a lot of scrutiny by the powers that be. He's doing something right or he would have out of the op business a long time ago.I haven't used him in 18 months or more and got the e-mail also. He is informing us of his willingness to except more patients.I'm sure he makes a good income but he provides a service we need.Rumors of his demise have circulated many times now but he has always been here since he began a few years ago.United is the main pharmacy he used in the past. The powers that be may remove him from online OP's eventually, just as they have many other Doc's.I am glad that he has remained in this work as long as he has, otherwise a lot of CPer's would be scrambling to find an online Doc that always made my consults as easy as possible.Losing him will resonate through the OP business in a negative way for so many. This is IMHO and I admire his courage for being around so many places in a time period that has seen many Doctor's fear of the scrutiny, disappear. I haven't recieved anything either...and I am a current patient. Must be just the past patients that haven't ordered in awhile...or has anyone "current" recieved a call or email from him? He's done all my scripts and I love him...hope he stays around a long, long time!

I recieved a call yesterday (7/17) from Dr. Ibanez's office asking if I had used YOD, which is where they got my name from, and informing me that Dr. I was now on his own and that they had a website (MFP), and a direct office number to call. They were offering consults for $115 and 2 refills. But I've been getting two refills from YOD anyway (and gotten two refills from FxMeds in the past), and YOD has been top notch in my book, especially when it comes to customer phone service, so I'll just stick with YOD.

I got a call from his office also. I was a patient of Dr. I's a year ago when I really needed pain medication. I told them the reason I would not use him in the future is not because he is a great doctor but because he is EVERYWHERE.
The call is to just get more business from customers that he has on file, in the computer, etc. The current customers that have refills due, etc. will not get a call obviously because they recently had a consult. One thing is for sure that if any doc is going to go up in smoke soon it is going to be regretfully Dr. I. He has too many hands in the cookie jar and you know the DEA in the past builds a case then shuts the door (we have seen that with Myprivatedoc). They do not tell a doctor they are watching him nor will they give these doctors a warning. that is why I do not want my name nor my records in his office when the DEA walks into his office.
The problem Dr. I has is that it is not really illegal to do the OP thing but when a doctor works for several OPs and have the same customers double dipping through different OPs in the same month or while they have refills existing from that same doctor (thus Dr. I writing a prescription to that customer that has already had a consult with Dr. I just one month ago through a different OP = overprescribing)...and this is how he is going to get busted and then I get in trouble for using his service for some reason.
I give Dr. I credit for helping the true patients that truly have chronic pain because he has been a blessing but for me personally I do not want my files to be in his office when the Best if kept off the board hits the fan so to speak. Kelly

I don't see us getting into trouble kell we are not the ones writing the scripts, and if our records show we have legit pain what is the problem I don't see one other than you making people nervous for no reason I don't think the dea cares about us unless we are getting pills by the thousands that would make it seem we are selling, but not cps looking for relief or an extra script to keep ontop of our meds really think about it,and I doubt they clutter their offices with millions of records, personally I think they dumped them as soon as they look at them then make note in the computer you sent them no records floating around any ops office, anyone else on this.

Snakey, the problem is BIG in the DEA's eyes because this is how alot of people get these medications to distribute or sell on the street. Some of these pills can be sold for as much as $10 a pill. The DEA would collect Dr. I's records, see that a person had two scripts from one doc but sent out from two different pharmacies. The pharmacies would not get in trouble because they do not know. The Doctor would get in trouble for over prescribing narcotics and the customer would get in trouble because someone does not consume 180 pills in 30 days so they can get in trouble for "probable cause to distribute...etc." This is what everyone needs to be smart about. litlkel, I think snakey is saying the honest people who only order there 1 script per month as prescribed wouldnt get into no trouble. I personally think that they cant get into trouble because in our eyes these doctors are prescibing the meds that we take. Which last time i checked if you had a scrip for your med's they are legal.?.?.....
someone please correct me if im wrong on this
Thanx........heath
