Consistent with American Red Cross, FEMA & now Homeland Security emergency preparedness guidelines I recommend all db members prepare a 3-day emergency kit that includes your critical meds. This way when the power fails, hurricane strikes, earth shakes or your OP fails during the long weekend you have the ability to make-it through the crisis. For some kit basics take a look at red-cross or homeland security web-sites.
Just be sure to add your meds or a large combat box of Imodium.
For anyone serious about getting prepared for a catastrophe, I suggest checking out the post submitted by Woody in the thread "Best Pain Meds in Case of Accidents" on 8-22-03.

Gee Plotinus, you really know how to liven up a party...Actually I think it is a good idea to have an emergency supply of meds, along with the basics, such as water, etc. Well, guess I had better start writing that novel. Let's see, I have 11 years.............
