Some of you are well aware of this, some don't seem to be. Alot of OPs boast a no consult fee(Buymeds, Tropical RX, UspharmacyRX, etc.) and it seems that alot of people tend to stop doing their homework and buy right in to it when they see this sale's pitch.
While these OPs do not charge for a consultation, they also DO NOT offer refills at a discounted price.
I am going to use myself as an example. I take Norco 10/325's for my pain management, the last time I checked, they were $159 for 60 at Tropical RX. Let's compare: $159 for the original script, then $159 a piece for my 2 refills~ that comes to a total of $477(shipping & handling not included). At NorcoWorldwide, I pay $120 for my consultation, then $82 for all 3 scripts(90 ct.!) which comes to $366(s & h not included)...I'm saving myself $111 bucks AND getting 90 more pills!! AND, if I use medical records for my online ordering, I know of about 3 sites that I would save even more! Let's go ahead and cover the "buts" while I'm at it: "But those sites offer free delivery", you're STILL gonna pay more..."But I heard that they were gonna start offering a 15 dollar discount on my 2 refills", SOUNDS good, but you're still gonna be paying more! If you have med records, that is obviously the best way to go, but if you don't, SHOP AROUND, I just don't like to see people basically WASTE their hard earned money, hope this sheds some light on the subject for some of you...

In all fairness, TropicalRx offers 90 as well (yes, you pay more for that too). Doesn't NWW require records? It was my understanding that they are required to get refills.

That is really good advice Platinum, I just recently decided to take the jump and it was definitely worth it. I love actually having a human being to talk to with NWW, and the meds I got were good quality. It didn't take me too long to learn about the better to go about using OP's as soon as I got the info from this board. Thanks to all the great advice

I just wanted to echo platinum79 and add that it's easy to get your records. Just go to a walk-in clinic (like Urgent Care), tell them what the problem is, and ask for what they wrote on the way out. Bam, you've got records, and maybe even a script if you know what you're doing? That small one-time investment will save you money in the long-run because you'll be able to go to more reputable OP's who give bigger quantities for less money.

Let's compare more accurately...
***UspharmacyRX
Generic Norco 90/tabs = $159 X 3 = $477 (includes 3 separate orders and shipping which is free)
Totals.. 270 tabs = $1.766 a tab (no consultation, no phone calling)
------------------------------------------------
***NorcoWorldWide
$120 consult fee
$_82 X 3 = $246 for brand name norco (3 scrips @ 90 X 3 totaling 270 tabs)
$18 to $28 per scrip s&h (we'll do 2nd day ship @ $18) $18 X 3 = $54 and (we'll do next day ship @ $28) $28 X 3 = $84
Add 120+246+54 = $420 (includes 2nd day shipping ($18 X 3 = $54)
Add 120+246+84 = $450 for next day service ($28 X 3 = $84).
Totals.. 270 tabs = $1.555 a tab (second day mail)
Totals.. 270 tabs = $1.666 a tab (next day mail)
---------------------------------------------------
Compare:
USPharmacyRX = $1.76 per tab (270 tabs total if you order 3 times)
NorcoWorldWide = $1.55 to $1.66 per tab (270 tabs; original script plus 2 refills
Not that big a difference in price IMO.. However, NWW offers brand name as opposed to USPharmacyRX which offers generic.

You guys are all right. I finally got my records today, after waiting for almost 2 months for the doc to send them. Now I have to decide which OP to use.

Singlesu...I've used my "superbill" for records at YOD. That's the receipt they give you with the diagnosis, payment info, and history when you exit the office. That worked fine for me.

Thank you for that great break-down Omega. Just for the record, I have heard many people did have to send records to NWW before they received their first refill. I guess it depends on your medical condition, etc.
I am concerned that people are not getting their orders from USPharmacy - I am still giving them the benefit of the doubt they are new, overwhelmed and apparently got the virus worm blaster or whatever....I'm keeping a close eye on them because it doesn't sound like a bad deal - if people start getting their orders.....

Singlesu: I also had very good success with YOD and if you hurry, I think you can still utilize their 3 refill policy that they are running. The staff and doctor were very compassionate and understanding and there pharmacy, Woodys is great on prices and getting meds out the same day with tracking no. through UPS alternate tracking service! I wish you luck and a great holiday weekend that is both stress and pain free.

NWW Does require records to get refills. Perhaps in the rush of things, some people think their faxes did not go thru and therefore, they assume records are not needed.
They are.
For the fifteenth thousandth time, it is not doing an OP a favor to claim it does not require records.
