What are OPs going to do in regards to Labor day, which is Monday September 1st? For instance, my 23rd day with United falls on a Saturday. That means I wouldn't be receiving them until Tuesday. Will they fill scripts 1 day early to make sure everyone has their meds for the holiday? I speak of United specifically, but I'm curious how other pharmacies will be handling the upcoming 3-day weekend.
I got this from United's website. I should've checked there first I guess.
"The Pharmacy will be closed in observation of Labor Day.
We will be closed on Saturday August 30th and Monday September 1, 2003. If your prescription refill will be needed during this time, we will be glad to fill you prescription early, please call prior to Friday August 29th, 2003. Thank you and we appreciate your patronage."
I don't use OP's but I am about to run out of a pain killer at the end of this month. My doctor has always been good in the past about giving me a prescription well in advance before I fun out but he suddenly changed this month when I say him. I sayw him August 13. I thought that was why he asked me to make an office visit-to give me my new prescription. Instead, he siad call my office at the end of the month and we will call it in for you.
His office staff in general are incompetent and I am supposed to trust that my refill request will actually get to the doctor. That is why I like to walk out of his office with prescription in hand. I called today as Monday is a holiday and I thought that this was late enough. I called the drugstore and there was not authorization late this afternoon. I called my request in when the office opened at 8:00 AM. He knows that I am out in a few days. This is _____.
It's this ____ that makes me wish that instead of giving me health insurance as a benefit, I would just be given the cash so I could afford an OP. Life would be simpler.
