I just wanted to thank everyone who has posted their experiences on the board about OP's that require records. My first experience with an OP was with Tropicalrx, and because I didn't know any better at the time I paid the high prices, but was pleased with their service because I was in a pinch.
However, after reading through the boards, and having a bad experience with Tropical's customer service when I tried to get a refill I decided to take the plunge and try a "record requiring OP". I'm so glad I did because the prices and the customer service were so much better than Tropical.
(BTW I chose NWW because their pharamcy is close to me...kinda). I would reccommend that if you have records definetly try places like NWW, or YOD because they are so much more efficient. I know they aren't always going to be perfect, but everything felt more legit and I actually felt like a patient instead of credit card number. If you want more details about my experiences refer to the FEEDBACK section.
Yes, everyone, I have been converted. I have joined the other side... and I have to say I'm liking the view. Again thanks for all the great advice and info from everyone.

Congrats! Once I ever get my records organized, I intend to take the plunge as well. Though I don't knock anyone for using the "qhickie" OPs - I do it myself - I think, like you I would just be more comfy with one of the other type. I am also leaning toward NWW when my time comes.
These "quickie" ones do certainly have their purpose though. When you are so busy with work, etc. and just don't have the time to do any faxing or be available for a call, they can be a wonderful holdover until you can make other arrangements. They have certainly saved me alot of grief on more than one occassion.

I would just like to add, that despite the one problem I had with the lack of customer service, I would still reccommend Tropical if you're really in a pinch...even though they never got back to me this time, I think they're one of the most reasonable and organized online pharmacies out there that don't require Med Records. I've also had a pretty good experience with Uspharmacyrx. However, after using NWW with the ease I was fortuante enough to experience I wouldn't go back, unless of course like most poeople who do use those places, I was in a real bind. But I really don't see that being a problem. A lot of these OP's with records ship within 48 hours after you request a consult. And what is good with NWW is that if you don't have records right when you order it's ok, because they don't need them till your last refill (and sometimes I've read some have slipped by...). Also, the phone consult doesn't get into a lot of detail, just covers the basics and lasts about 4 minutes. In fact, if you had ot be at work when you called, you could probably answer their questions very discreetly. I think if you told them your situation they would be very understanding. Again, I can't praise their customer service enough. I actually missed the phone call originally because my cell phone went out of area, and they gave a number to call back, and I didn;t have to be on hold longer than a mintue till they connected me. Also, they were very very willing to help accomodate my shipping/ pickup preference. They really try to please their customers. Sorry I'm rattling, but when you get a good experience with one of these places it's like a godsend, when you're in pain.

Ops that require records really are the place to go . the odds are more in your favor that you will get your refills and the customer service is better in the event something goes wrong. Glad to see you took the plunge - it wasnt so bad afterall, now was it??? Congrats on your newfound lower prices!!!!

I totally agree although pinch situations do happen and I would have to agree that tropical is good as is unityrx to name a couple. Hope this helps...

Wasnt trying to say they werent good in a pinch. Was just saying that if you are useing this as your main source for medication, useing records is easier on the wallet.

No I didn't mean that directly towards you tansun. I was just saying in general that in those pinch situations there are some good ones out there. You are absolutely right that if you have records, then you will be MUCH better off. Sorry for the confusion.
