Is there anyone out there who could tell me how to initiate a credit card return? I ordered a refill from Buymeds on 8/6/03, they billed my card on 8/11/03 & I still have not received the meds. I have never had to get a credit before & really don't know where to start. I get no replies from e-mails & their phone always has a busy signal. Any & all instructions would be greatly appreciated.

First, Do No Harm" I will follow that method of treatment which according to my ability and judgment, I consider for the benefit of my patient and abstain from whatever is harmful or mischievous.
This is called a chargeback, btw. If this is a credit card, not a debit card, simply call the credit card company (American Express used to let you do it online) and tell them you'd like to dispute a charge. They'll ask why, and you're very likely to get it, some cards take longer than others to get this accomplished. If you have a debit card, you should call your bank (you may be able to do it through the hotline on the back of your card, but I've never done debit card chargebacks before).
Good luck, it's a much simpler process than it seems, and credit card companies are quite used to it. They don't want to lose a customer like you, and they realize that businesses need them to function, so the odds are definitely in your favor.

I refused the debit card my bank sent me, as my understanding is there is very little protection in situations like this.
But you are absloutely right, yawkaw, disputing a charge is the easiest thing in the world, just call the issuing bank.
I know buymeds has had a lot of problems due to media scrutiny, and the Pharmanet meltdown. I personally would steer clear of them at this point. But eek7 you might want to first e mail buymeds to let them know you are planning to dispute, see if that gets a response. The problem you could run into is this: if you have a current approved script at buymeds, and you go to another OP to replace the missing order, you could possibly find yourself in a double dipping situation. You need to make sure the buymeds order is CANCELLED before you order someplace else!
