Hey Lala, I know what you are talking about getting spammed from porno sites everywhere. Fortunately for me, my internet service is now offering us "postini". All of my e-mails go to this website where I can pick and choose which ones I want delivered to my outlook express. It is a great system that can even pick up virus detected mail and keep them from coming onto your computer. However, some of the porn, enlargement stuff and online pharmacies are still getting thru and it is also making me crazy. I'm not sure if "postini" is available to individuals, but I would try to do a google search to see if it is available
And the problem gets worse if you try to unsubscribe to them, you are directed to the wrong site to unsubscribe or the site doesn't even exist . I have also been told by many people that unsubscribing only makes the problem worse, because those unsubscribe lists are sold to others, so that they can spam you even more.
This isn't just a problem that you are having, everyone is having it . I used spybot for a couple of days and found that I was getting more "pop-ups" than ever and uninstalled it.
My suggestion is to go to CNET.com and click on their download site. When you get there, do a search and try to find some spam eliminators. Some of them are free to try, so that is an option. But a word of warning, when you find something on CNET'S site, read the reviews on the software and see how it is rated. There is some real junk out there that doesn't work or is loaded with "spyware" which can track your every movement on the net.
There was also a piece of software that I found at this site that would scan your computer for porn. I can't rememer what it was called, but I used it and could not believe the porn sites that had been dropped onto my computer via spyware.
Hey guys, this is a really serious problem and if anyone else has better ideas, We are all listening

"I know I'm crazy cause I've got papers to prove it"
I use a program called ad-aware,a friend of mine sent it to me and I run it once a month. The first time I ran it I was astounded at how much spyware was in my computer. Some of the pop-ups are designated to a certain letter on the keyboard so when you type that certain letter the unwanted ad automatically comes on to the screen. Cnet (aka: www.downloads.com )has free trials for several spyware programs WITHOUT HAVING TO GIVE YOUR CC # LOL! , so go there and at least use the free trial to clean up your hard drive. The spyware accumulates over a period of time, so if you've had your computer for a while or surf the net alot chances are you've got alot of unwanted junk in the hard drive. Good luck!!! KO
