Tylenol #1's and the border crossing
      #86128 - 07/04/03 10:17 PM

A little FYI for you peeps out there. Got stopped at the Niagra border gettin back to the states. Had a few empty bottles on the floor of my car. Customs asked me what meds I was carrying, of course I said none. His response was "pull under the canopy, we will be with you shortly." I pull into there garage and basically told em I had a 200 count bottle under the seat. "Ok unlock all the doors and open the hood and trunk." Now my pants are messy at this point. They did a quick search of the car, handed me my pills and said "Thanks for being honest with us, the DEA allows you to bring one bottle across the border." So basically next time i'll just declare them....

Peace,

Shawn

Personally, if I were to go to Canada and purchase their OTC codiene products, I would probably just pay the little bit extra and mail them to myself from Canada (Actually, I have done this with boxes of Cuban cigars). You are scrutinized much, much more crossing back to the US (because of terrorism events) than a mailed package ever will be.
