DB, thanks.
Today the red numbers are back indicating new replies. It's so easy to click on the subject line and see only the new replies and not have to page through everything.
Is this temporary or permanent? Please say permanent! 
This is the one feature I really missed for the last few months ever since the board was upgraded. I know you explained it was a burden on the software, but I would sure like to have this feature permanent again.

We want it to be permanent but are not sure if we can  do. As we mentioned on other threads that feature uses a lot of server resources...
We are testing and getting ready for an upgrade

I also hope the numbers stay. That way I know how many new posts there are. It is a good feature. Pleeeeease keep it.

I really hope the nimbers stay. It saves lots of time, so I get to read more posts. It was my favorite part of the ease of the VIP board, and now it has made the free board just as easy for me to access.

What I do each time I log on to DB is go to the top where it says "Recent Posts" and click on "Past 24 Hours". I get most of the latest posts. The red indicators are great also and really help to pinpoint the new posts.

When you go to any forum you should see certain lines highlighted (ones you haven't read) and red numbers to the right, indicating how many new posts there are. Makes it so much easier to read!

Thanks DB! The post tracking does make it easier for us. I know it hogs resources and can cause server crashes.
Good luck with the server upgrade! I have a dual xeon 2ghz w/ mobo lying around if you need us to donate parts.

Mine as well. They are gone on the VIP side as well, and that was one of my favorite parts. I honestly am thinking of not renewing on the VIP side as I can scroll all I wan to here if that is what it takes to read a post. Who knows, maybe I am just grumpy because I quit smoking a week ago.

Oh, btw, congrats on quitting smoking! The longer you go, the easier it gets, first week is the hardest.

I am bummed that the numbers are gone. Yeh the smoking thing will make you very grumpy. I told my hubby that he needs to work extra overtime if he tries to quit again.
