I went and downloaded and installed the latest version of Java, just in case that was the issue. I go in there and still see the grey box with the coffee cup. I have gone away for 10 minutes and still nothing.
Anyone have any suggestions?

I just tried it right now and I had no problem. I didn't see any coffee cup either. Maybe try getting on when you see that some members are in there. Good Luck.
Old Navy, do me a favor, will ya? Will you notice what it says at the bottom left hand corner when you sign on? I'm going to try to sign on again and write down what it says and where it gets stuck and maybe someone can help. I know it's not my connection either because we have a good cable connection.
*sigh*
If you can't, I understand. Thanks for replying.
Editted to add: Here's the series of the few commands I could write down:
Apple Client inited
$
exception: java.lang.NullPointerException
The last command is where it gets stuck and the coffee cup turns to an X.
Hope someone can help me based on that info.
Another Edit: The java icon said this:
java.lang.NullPointerException
at clientGUI.writeObject(Unknown Source)
at clientGUI.loginHandler(Unknown Source)
at clientGUI.start(Unknown Source)
at Client.start(Unknown Source)
at sun.applet.AppletPanel.run(Unknown Source)
at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)
Does that mean it's a firewall issue? My hubby is a computer nerd and I can ask him to open it up, if needed.

I want to help you but I don't understand what kind of information you need. I went back to the chat room and didn't see anything in the bottom left side, sorry.
Thank you very much. I editted my post above to contain all the info. I was talking about the commands that you see in the bottom left hand corner of your DB screen right next to the little 'e' for Explorer (assuming you use explorer though) It's not something that happens in the chat room, but in the window.
Thanks so much! You're an
