This is something I encounter regularly and have no idea what's happening, or whether you are aware of the problem or know how to fix it. I've typed posts, gone to check it before posting it, and find words missing. They appear in the typing/editing window, but go missing when it hits the board. I read posts all the time by fellow DBers and see that a key word is missing from their post - then I realize it happens to many of us now and then. Any idea what's going on? Can you fix this glitch - it's really annoying.
There, see! It's happened again. The word "check" is missing after the words "gone to" in the above text.

I think that it may just be your computer or something like that. I can see the word "check" after "gone to" just fine. I haven't noticed many posts with words obviously missing at all.

Funny, your reply had a missing word: "it may just be yor. . .Blank on my screen. That's great - if the problem is at my end, that means I'm probably screwed.

Yeah, I'm afraid this might be a problem you're having with your PC but maybe DB will have a suggestion.
The worm huh?......I'd rather sleep through it myself

More like late bird. I look to be in lala land by the time worm breakfasts are being served up. Might have something to do with running out of my sleep meds Thursday. Further to my original post, the words that were missing last night (I mean this morning) have showed up today. Weird. This is not in my head. I am not making this up. Really doctor, I am not imagining this. Sorry, little flashback there.

It might be your browser, but more likely your internet connection. This is the same problem that everyone who uses ERX Online experiences when ordering refills. They disappear, yet their credit card is charged 3 times.......
Anyway, Phinny........
I laughed my a** off when I saw your user pic.
Bravo.

I'm not an "early bird", LOL. Not by far. More like a "night owl". Just got home from work tonight, and I haven't gotten to bed yet.

I am not sure I understand very well but I have an answer .
Some internet providers, or browsers, are set in such a way that they do not refresh pages more than once for a certain period of time...
So if you see a page at 10 AM, and that page changes at 10:10 AM, and you visit that page again at 10:20AM, you will be looking at the page that was there at 10AM and not the one edited at 10:10
That is why you may not see the changes made to a page you edit. You are not going nuts, your computer does not have graemlins, and we are not to removing key words to drive members crazy
How can you solve that with your ISP?
We do not know of a way other than to ask them or change ISP.
How can you solve that with your browser?
Set the browser to look for new content every time you visit a page.
Hope this helps

You nailed it. When this happens, I do a "manual refresh" and it corrects the problem everytime. Thanks a heap.
