Ok, as some of you know, I work in a field where I am able to get the actual pricing on Meds. Its from a program called Redbook, which gives the WHOLESALE price pharmacies and such pay for there meds. I of course looked up Watson's, 10/325, and the bulk prices were in 100 and 500 counts. As long as I feel I am not doing anything illegal, and there is an interest, I will post the prices for you. Please put your comments below, and let me know If you friends would like to know.

Yeah, and do you have the wholesale price list on Sony products? Don't look in the other guys pocket. Plenty of people need these meds and can't get their PCP to oblige. It would be interesting but will drive the OP's out of biz and the users back to suffering. Why don't you PM them?
Funny, government can screw us over everyday and we don't do a thing. A person with initiative goes out, provides a valuable service and makes a nice profit, we get whacky on them! Go figure! We could do the same thing and make an nice life. But, it's easier to yell and scream than do a little thinking for ourselves.

People will be suprised at the markup. However members of this board that do not own a pharmacy will never be able to purchase at wholesale prices. Remember pharmacies also carry malpractice insurance and all the other overheads that go into running a business this really adds to the cost of everything in our lives not just medications.

Absolutely, billy. The overhead is incredible, and then there is profit-making!
Personally, I don't want to know the difference in price, as there's nothing we can do about it, but complain about how much money someone else might be making. Business is business.

Ya' Know?..Ya' Know..there IS..there IS..a little thing we have going here in our AMERICA..it's called..."The Profit Motive"..Just in case anyone isn't clear on how this Big Mystery works or what it is..here's a tip/just a little insight.."IT"..IS..THE REASON the guy/company you work for IS there..IT IS the reason YOU are THERE(and getting paid)..It is by direct result of this strange situation that you have the money for the computer you are playing with right now..it is the reason you are able to pay for the electricity to run said computer..it is the reason you have been eating food you were able to buy so you could eat it while you were playing with and reading this computer you bought..it is the reason there was a car for you to buy,no matter how long ago that may have been,to go and get the computer..AND, "IT" IS the reason there IS a Doctor out there somewhere that has or will see you when you go there, in the car you bought by going to the job that was there for YOU.."IT" IS the reason that after you have seen said Doctor..Amazingly,there is also a Pharmacy somewhere nearby,whether on the "net" or in your town,that you were able to BUY(with profit)the pills from..that you went to the doctor to get a prescription for..that you found out all about on the internet connection/computer that you paid someone for..which both run off of electricity that you OR someone else has or is paying someone for..ARE you starting to see a pattern developing here? You see,"The Bottom Line" as "they say" in "The Profit Motive Game" is..If you cannot make a profit on what you do..most people just really..don't seem to want to bother doing it!(ever noticed that?)..DO YOU?? I understand that there are many on some type of government assistance reading this..Hopefully you folks too,understand that the government DID NOT..DID NOT just GIVE you that money out of "Their Pocket"(as they would like to have YOU believe)..NO..NO!!..they TOOK IT..they TOOK IT,right straight out of the pockets of ALL of us that are still able to work somewhere..for "The Dreaded and Oh-So-Bad", "PROFIT MOTIVE"..Can I make myself anymore clear? PROFIT..in America IS what PAYS for everything!(Yeah,pays for even the "oh-so-wonderful,nanny state government")..And without it(PROFIT) you have Communissim/Socialism..where "Everything is FREE!"..except YOU!!..and "everything" never quite seems to even exist..UNLESS you are one of the real crafty,sneaky ones,who are able to outwit the "commissars" and snitches(government types)..and DO,guess what?..Yeah,yeah..YOU guessed it!!..sneak around and make some of that NASTY PROFIT!!..and then guess what?..yeah!,even in a communist country,those terrible,greedy people,crafty enough to have figured out this terrible "American PROFIT Thing"..suddenly find that they,yeah they!..are actually able to BUY..all..all those things "that don't exist"..are you getting the picture? They are then,able to BUY..ALL those things that "don't exist" for the others,with..yeah,here it is again,PROFIT!!..Isn't it absolutely amazing how that works?("works?"..come to think of it,as we go along with this tale,"IT" seems make everything "work",doesn't it?)
If anyone here doesn't know this,let me give you a clue..Pharmacies..bricks and mortar types or the Internet variety..EXIST,..they simply "ARE"..because of "The Profit Motive"..do I need to go over this again?..Or, are you catching on?..What?..HUH?..Say you don't have time to read anymore 'cause you have to go to bed,so you can get up in the morning and go to work!..Oh NO!!..no not..tell me NOT..for some of that Nasty PROFIT!! Those of us still able to work,better be damned glad,that the job/company we go to tomorrow is making some of that nasty PROFIT..THAT'S all I know..but then again..what do I know?..I'm ignorant and I ache and I hurt and I limp and I take pain pills that someone is nice enough to make available to me...for that damned ole' Nasty PROFIT!!! Honestly, as the Rock would say "It don't matter what the pharmacies pay"!!!
And in my opinion posting the prices here would just cause lots of people to get angry and upset for no reason.Just imagine how so many members of this board would feel if those companies stopped doing business tomorrow?
How about posting how much profit is made on a Big Mac? Or a can of Coke? Those are things people can boycott and not be hurt. Anyone here want to be the first to boycott their OP?

You have pointed out exactly and quite simply,I might add,exactly what I was driving at..We all know that everyone in any business makes a "markup" and this business is tenuous at best.."Iffy" might be a better description,so let's not cause alot of anger in our own ranks for no real good reason. These people ARE helping us out,we ARE in a bind,at least I am! I was born at night..But NOT last night!! I am fully aware that there is a humongus markup in this business..there HAS to BE!! There absolutely HAS to be! Would you toy with this endeavor for a pittance?..I doubt if anyone would,look at all the angst and uproar that goes on all the time..can you even imagine what it must be like at the other end? So we "cull" the crummy ones and patronize the "honest,straight shooters" and I for one,am more than happy for them to make plenty of money/PROFIT for their good service and absolutely invaluable help to us CP types! I wish them nothing but WELL and pray that they do make more than enough to stay in business and keep providing the service that is SO necessary to SO many of us. They have literally given our lives back to many of us..Who else,what rip-off artist do you ever deal with where you get anything BUT seperation from your money?! Anything at all? Well,that IS NOT the case here..Here,we get the ability to actually LIVE our lives!..and I actually Thank GOD,I thank HIM for providing us with these folks. I for one vote more PROFIT to them(no,no,not to raise prices!)..as long as they are fair,deliver on time,send what they say they will,keep their promises and charge what we all have come to accept/know is an acceptable,fair price. I feel NO need to cause these folks anymore grief then that which they already receive from some of us..you know,us seekers of instant gratification!! These people put up with alot and they should make alot!..that IS the way it IS and that IS the way it should be. The bad and shoddy ones will be dealt with by our absence on their websites and telephone lines..and then they will be GONE! Be thankful for "the good guys"..we all know who we are talking about here. Dealing with a bad one and getting lied to and ripped?..DO NOT return. Pretty simple,at least for an ignorant,painwracked,semi-cripple,like myself. I figured that out about most everyting in my life and the same holds true here. Patronize the people who treat you right,let them make money and they will be there to treat you right the next time you are in(dire,sometimes)need of them. VileFileMan..this IS NOT a slap at you,please,please don't take it as one..Please know that I DO NOT subscribe to the idea that "Ignorance is Bliss"..I DO NOT! So if your looking to save money, Do not go for the 10/650 as the 10/500 is the cheapest of them all per 100 count.

One more thing, The prices I gave out were (AWP) Average Wholesale Price. The average price charged by wholesalers to retailers, they also list WAC, which is wholesale acquisition cost, which I am not quite sure what it is and I didnt give that out, but its a lot cheaper.

I have some clues as to what things cost but since I can't get them at that cost I think it would only serve to make me feel that much worse having to pay what we have to pay. On top of that, you are probably talking US wholesale--wonder what it costs in Thailand, India, South Africa, Peru, etc.--I'll bet the differential is even worse.

Well here's something interesting.
Right before buspar went off patent, 60 15mg tabs (at my uni pharm, which is generally the cheapest around) was
$144
Within a couple of weeks, I got the gneric version. Same script:
$114
A year later:
$ 60
If you are really interested in the true cost of these drugs, compare the cost of the average (non OP) price of any American generic to the price of the same thing at, say, Importedrugs.com.
Then divide that price by 5. That's about how much the pills actually cost in the beginning.
I'm sure someone here could come up with an algebraic equation the masochists could use to figure out the "real" prices of all our meds. That person is not me, however. I scarcely got my bachelor's degree because of the math requirement.
I do want to add two things:
1)I wish I had known that about the hydro before I ordered from NWW. I ordered 650's to save $$$ and now I'm having to go through the PITA of extraction all the time.
2)Brand name drugs do have a reason to charge more for a little while at least, because the co's have paid for all the research, development and (especially) advertising. Generics on the other hand, don't have to do any of that.
