well my friends it appears I Best if kept off the board off too many people with these ''attahcments'' and they are taking the slower ones much to long to load the page so Im rdiing of my ''obnoxious'' signatures. To everybody that so kindly asked me to rid of them I thank you and for everybody I was very rude to I apologize, really I do. thanks for reading and I will keep my sigs to a minimum. For now

Oh Phil...well we enjoyed it while it lasted. I guess I can relate though, typically we have a DirecPC online all the time blazing fast connection, so it's no big deal to download but other times, like this morning, our network is down so I'm using a lowly dial up 26K connection and it's painfully slow so I guess I can sympathize those with slow connections.

Thanks for the explanation and apology though, I'm sure you'll fine another way to cause trouble

Hehe, I guess this wouldn't be the thread to post about my phat pipe.

I did enjoy all the pics you posted Flip but can understand that someone on dialup may not be so keen on them.

I guess having had a broadband connection either through cable or DSL since they first became available in my area 4 years ago, I still don't understand those that have broadband available to them but insist on remaining on dialup. If they did the cost analysis, they would find with what they pay in dialup charges or for a separate line, or simply a convenience analysis, they would find broadband ever so more attractive for their needs. Just my .02...that and another 5 bucks will get me a frappachino at Starbucks

Agreed. It is a test board, ergo I don't see the problem. My vote goes to Flip

These step's will help those who have 26K or 56K dialup, increase there download speed.
1. Just Guessing, You're probably viewing these messages for information and Not for pictures and Signatures!
2. If you want to increase the download speed, try to change these features.

Here Goes:

A. At the top of your current screen you will see My Home, click on that.
B. Then scroll down to the bottom of the page where you have the choice of editing your Display Preferences and click on that (Display Preferences).
C. Now, scroll down to the very bottom of the page and there are 3 question's asking about viewing pictures and signatures. Click NO to all 3 question's.
D. Then click SUBMIT.

That will eliminate any pictures and signature's that are used by the poster's of message's. The info. about the poster is on the Left Hand of the message, anyway, whether or not their picture or signature is there.
Also, I spend my time reading post's (message's) and moving on to another message or set of post's. "The Thrill is Gone", I don't need picture's nor any signature's and the message's download Much Much Faster without picture's or signature's!
One other thing, 26K is almost obselete, non-existent. If you check with your ISP you'll probably find out that you can at least get 56K, usually it is the same price, (Do you have a 56k modem or a V90 modem?)
No matter what speed dial-up modem you have, the above (Step's A through D) will increase your download speed of the message's that were posted.
Also, you could sign up for AOL or something of that nature for there 2 free month's at 56K, if they have a local access tele #. I think, Earthlink is still offering 56K dial-up for about 10.50/month for the first 6 month's. So, you could actually stay with Earthlink for 6 month's and then decide what to do, yet that info. is for those individual's who have a 26K connection and a 56K Modem. Hope that will speed thing's up for you!

I like them! They kept me looking around for something to put up as a sig. to rival yours. Now, you've thrown in the towel. Well, you can always play with your photo. I've thought of using my real picture. It would make it easy for the idiots we call government to find me when all this is outlawed. Like they really need help! The dentist probably gave me that hydro a few years ago to pay for the transmitter he stuck the hole he called a root canal. Can you say Conspiracy?
