How can one successfully embed a sound into a post? Thanks.

Yes! Somebody did it at Christmas time...but I'm having trouble remembering who it was. It was a cute song. I'll keep thinking. Can anybody else remember?

I believe the code is bgsound src="url" with brackets around it. Sorry, I would put the brackets but then that would turn it into html lol. You can get the sound to repeat by adding loop="some number" at the end before closing the tag.

Please please please please PLEASE don't embed sounds in your posts... I don't know about anyone else, but I find it incredibly annoying to click on a link at 1 AM (or any time, for that matter) and suddenly have god-knows-what come blasting out the computer speakers. Nothing like waking half the house because you didn't think to mute the computer before hitting the web. Maybe i'm weird, but I absolutely *can't stand* websites (and posts) that have music. If I wanted music i'd turn on the stereo... i'm not trying to tell anyone what to do, just a pleading request that you not do it. It's worse than those ALL CAPS posts that some people insist on posting...

I agree. The only time I will embed a sound is in a holiday forum.

"I love those J-I-N-G-L-E bells..." and Santa danced to the music. It was on DB's server at Christmas time so I just used the embed tag and inserted the santa gif.

Thanks EW. That's it. It was very cute and has stuck in my head for some reason. Make sure and do it next Christmas!
