Password Pop-UP
      #73970 - 05/02/03 08:45 AM

Is anyone else getting the vip password pop-up box when they are surfing the free board? It's the oddest thing, I used to think it was because I had both windows open, but it also happens when only the freeboard window is open.

Anyone? Ideas?
Thanks!!
Toky

I get it from time to time as well, though not recently. I just x out of it which doesn't cause any problems.

Yes, I've had the same thing happen lately, I just click OK and that's the end of it.

I get that pop-up from time to time as well. I just close it out and keep going.

I havn't seen a pop-up since 1985 wow I hate pop-ups so much it makes me want to scream. I have a quick funny story. I downloaded the ''pop-up stopper'' and thought I was the coolest thing since rhinestones so after about a hour of having it on my puter ans mind you its working like a snake charmer so stupid me is all smiles I leave my puter for like maybe 30 minutes come back and I have 85 windows open it was all pop-up ads and there were so many is slowed down this thing like a computer with 85 wnidows open! needless to say I parted with that ''pop-up stopper'' and now I deal with the very few I ever see, stories over back to bed everyone

I've got the earthlink pop up blocker, it works pretty well.. just takes some getting used to. But yes, those pop ups can make a person insane!!

Thanks everyone... I pm'd db and let them know, didn't know if they're even aware or not. Thanks for the feedback.

Go into tools, internet options, security, custom level, scroll down and disable active scripting. Do this for all the zones (trusted, restricted, etc.). You will not get any pop ups. Just remember to enable active scripting when you are finished surfing, otherwise windows that should pop up won't. Trust me this works. Try it for yourself and see. You can surf in peace.
