I'd like to just echo some of the most important points addressed by members here:
1) Many, many, many of the jobs younger people find available to them DO NOT have insurance available. Even if they do, the cost of even endorsed premiums on these jobs are exorbitant compared to the salary or wages we get.
2) Local physicians don't prescribe the types of meds we need, and if they do, the script is usually for 15 tabs and non-refillable. If I'm not mistaken, this entire board is dedicated to helping each other find ways to take care of our medical needs in the ways that our local doctors can or will not.
3) I order from IOPs. Sure, it's more risky, but successes with these businesses by far outnumber the failures. None of the IOPs I've used require medical records.
I understand everyone's concern for a the possibility of a child ordering potentially dangerous drugs online, but I will repeat again again what was said above: Old enough to vote, old enough to die for your country, old enough to die at the hands of the tobacco companies, shoud mean old enough to purchase both alcohol and, to be honest, the less insidious drugs available online.

I have worried since I first saw this thread. Toe, my friend, you are absolutely correct.
BUT, as someone pointed out to me in a PM (and as I have learned from other threads) there a people out there POSING as 18-19-20-21 year olds without parents/insurance, etc.
I was receiving a PM in the last week in which my correspondent concluded with, "I have to go, Bye." And looking for Adderal--which I know nothing about except that it starts with "Ampheta.." in which case I stop listening because that is the garbage that I used to stay awake studying in college back in the '60's.
I think that we all have a responsibility to help everyone on the Boards. I also think that we have a responsibility to keep recreational drugs and users OFF OF THIS BOARD.
As a result of the PM I just referred to, I e-mailed the appropriate State Mental Health Department for information that I could refer to this young adult.
Personally, I will help ANYONE but it is going to be LEGAL and I will do ANYTHING I can to keep young folks from using OP's and self-medicating when there are other alternatives available.

I don't see anything in his post that would suggest he has a hereditary disease that would be passed down. I too have had migraines for a very long time and have had 5 children without any problems. So maybe that was a bit harsh.
As for the under age thing. If the poster that has the question is under 18, I would think his parents could help him out with health care issues. If he is a drug seeker, he needs to find info elsewhere. There are a lot of things he left out of his post such as what he is seeking and just how old he is. I think that would clarify a lot. My 2 cents.
