What does a seizure notice look like? is it in an envelope or does it look like a report card where you have to tear one side of.

thanks

The only one that I have received was an envelope, addressed to me with U.S. Customs as the return address. Didn't take long to get to me, either. In fact it arrived the very day that I was expecting the OP order, which was roughly two weeks after I placed the order.

My seizure notices have come two different ways. I guess it would depend on who sends it. Customs took out the meds and placed a letter in the package and sent it that way. The second way was in an envelope like any other government letter.

I have had one from the WC. First the package came regular mail with a customs sticker on the outside of the package. Inside the package was a 3"x 3" paper stating my "drugs (narcautics) have been detained...I would be receiving a letter soon from The U.S. Treasury, etc". I received the letter which I tossed - I didn't even want to read it. 30 days later I received another letter letting me know since I hadn't contacted them they were going to destroy my medication - I thought "be my guess". Touch wood in five years first one. Sunny

That is exactly what happened to me too. Customs or the fda stuck a little piece of paper in my original package telling me that my meds were detained. Then a couple of follow up letters that were a bit more formal. They looked like IRS letters except they were customs. This was the only time I ever had meds detained.

The company was suppose to resend and pretty much folded so I was out money and meds which I hate. Very aggrevating.

Ditto - customs took meds out of package (from Destiny) and enclosed a half page piece of paper indicating that they seized meds. Exactly one week later, a more formal letter detailing steps to take if i wanted to contest the seizure. I also read and viewed posts on DB and simply threw the papers away. Thankfully, Destiny did resend meds and Everyone Lived Happily Ever After (except maybe Destiny who was out the reship meds and postal charges).

Hopefully, that will be MY LAST ONE!

The few seizure notices I have had have always been in letter form. Always politely asking me to sign the bottom line and return. Somehow I always, accidentally, drop them in my shredder.

I also have had to items seized last year..It was Xanax, and a large quantity, I got the package stating I would recieve a letter which I did ..But like a fol I signed it to waive any right to it..wrote I never ordered anything..I will not sign another on and I will pray it never happens again. I only deal in the US because I'm always checked by customs now for anything out of country..

My notices also ended up in the shreader accidentally. Oops! Mine looked a bit different than the DB version, and not as harsh in tone. It did not ask me to sign anything and even said I was not accused of anything. Thank goodness or that would have freaked me out. I have ordered from overseas after the letter with no problem. I just had the one incident.

I received a letter from NY customs. I read it quickly before tossing it. It said something along the lines that I could get the meds if I presented some sort of documentation. Too much legalese. Like I said, I tossed it. Totally non-threatening. It took about 60 days to arrive after the stuff was seized. I think customs should "get a life" and not open small envelopes that obviously don't contain "objects" harmful to the public.

HEY. How do you think customs employees get their meds. It's cheaper than the way we do it.
