Okay, here's the deal. I've been waiting for an order from Destiny and they said that it was mailed. I gave them my address again in correspondence... they basically said oops, we sent to wrong street.
Do ya'll think I should tell the PO to watch for it and re-direct it to me? I'm in a reasonably small town - In fact, a neighbor and sorta close friend works at PO. Should I ask him to watch for it? OR, will they try the wrong address and then just ship it back to Destiny?
Depends on if you know where they shipped it to. If you know where it went to you might ask the neighbor if friendly and small town if they received your package/mail. I don't know about asking the post office to check around for it. E-mail Destiny and ask for the address they sent it to. Tell them you probably won't get it (so they will send another - not your fault)and you probably won't but you could check it out - who knows. Sunny

I live in a small town, too. One time I got a piece of mail sent to me using only my first name and zip code.
I don't think the local folks at the Post Office have any authority to open mail and it will have already gone through customs, postal inspectors or whoever can open it. All the local folks want to do is get it delivered.
Tell them a friend sent you something from overseas and sent it to the wrong address and to watch out for it. My postmaster also paints my house when I need it and he would do it for me and not give a second thought to what was in it. Long and short of it, though, is that it is your call and it all depends on your own PO.

My husband is a postal supervisor...granted in a big city..but he didn't think they would be able to make any association...either the carrier for the route it was on will send it back to destiny or if he delivers and the people don't advise him it's a mis delivery, they'll keep it..but it won't hang around the P.O. and unless the town is REALLY small, they don't really have the ability to "watch" for it..sorry Did destiny offer to reship?
Thanks for all the thoughts. Destiny already told me where they sent it.... correct house number, city and zip, but wrong street. Soooo, maybe I'll ask my neighbor/postman if HE can watch for it. Destiny told me what the package was labeled as, so there shouldn't be any suspicion.
