These guys do a pretty good job of sweping a computer while online. They nailed that stupid klez worm twice for me.They are great for when you get suspicious of an email or a web site. And it is for free!

Here is another good free online virus scan I've used:
Pandasoftware.com
You can access the same scanner from www.pcpitstop.com under the 'Test My PC' section along with a lot of other great tests and utilities.

I *highly* recommend AVG Antivirus. They have a free one as well as a pay one (that offers a few more features.)
It is able to scan your incoming Outlook e-mail. My sister forwarded an attachment to me that she was afraid to open, and it caught it as soon as it got to my inbox, and I was able to delete it with AVG - it puts the file in a special directory and then writes over it a few times.
It's available at http://www.grisoft.com
