Ordered 3 120qty. of Panadine - Paracetamol/Codeine, shipment was intercepted at DFW Airport, DEA came to my door and informed me that it wasn't legal to import codeine, no charges filed.

Can you please provide some more detail? DEA actually came to your door over 8mg codeine tabs??!! Something's not adding up here.

Where are YOU located? I didn't think ordering 8 mg over the counter codeine was important enough to warrant a personal visit from the DEA! What is this world coming to? Don't they have more important business to attend to?

Have you ever been busted for something before? With the state of the economy, I wouldn't think the DEA has the resources/manpower to go after small quantity personal users - only those intending to divert/re-sell. I'd think the more likely (if anything) scenario would be your local law enforcement coming to warn you.

Bryson's primary prescriptions were for hydro. This is not the 1st or last time I have heard of the DEA warning people. People please remember the DEA has the hard core agents then a whole separately funded division called diversion and we may trivialize their responsibilities but visits like these are part of their job. Many members have pm'ed me over the last 18 months most of them just receive warnings. A few have faced charges that were reduced however who wants the hassle? The odds of getting popped? Slim but it does happen and it's usually not some grand scheme that causes the investigation just bad luck.
Take care. Billylll

Wow, a visit from the DEA for Panadeine, yikes! That seems so extreme to me. While importing anything with any amount of codeine in it is illegal here, I just can't help but think surely these people have better things to do? I mean, even if you ordered an enormous amount, what are you going to do with it beyond personal use? It just wouldn't be that great or interesting to anyone looking to abuse meds. Especially since practically every other country in the world sells this kind of thing OTC, this is gross overkill IMO. Our drug laws are crazy. And to whomever said it seems to be getting worse, I agree. I don't remember reading about all these busts or warnings over fairly benign meds a year ago. Perhaps the DEA believes suffering pain builds character?? Sorry this happened to you.

I have said this before; I am aquainted with two DEA people. Both have told me that OP orders are not very much of a priority. BUT they point out that laws sometimes must be enforced to make a point. The odds (for now) are on our side, but you never know when those odds will shift.
