Along with other OPs, I order hydro from a US OP so technically its legal for me to possess (for now, anyway). My problem is that occasionally I go out for the night - dancing, sporting events, whatever, and I really have no-where to carry a big fat amber bottle. I used to have no trouble just carrying a few in a small pillcase because I always dated cops (not intentionally, it just worked out that way lol) and things were very...lenient. Unfortunately I'm not anymore so I don't know what to do. I know if I was ever arrested the charges would eventually be dropped when I could produce a valid script but frankly I don't want to be arrested. Does anyone have any suggestions? Would it help to peel the label off the bottle (that I keep at home) and carry that with the pills? Thanks so much in advance.

Unfortunatly I think that you would be best to leave them at home IMO. I think that it is a real gray area with controlled meds and not having a prescription. Chances are good that they would just drop the charges if any were even brought, but you never know.

Another thing would be to carry the script with you and keep them in a pill box! Funny but not funny that senior sittisions can carry meds in a pill box and not be questioned!

Usually along with the bottle comes an extra printed RX label on a piece of paper. As stated above, carry that with you in your container of choice.

Or, if you're driving, put it in the same place as your registration and proof of insurance. Then it won't get lost, and they'll know what to test for right away should there be an accident!

PS... I asked my pain doc about this. She said: "geez, just have them call ME, I'll verify whatever prescription it is that they are questioning!" (she writes my scheduled meds)

Toky...you make a sardonic but very practical point.
I'd rather have documentation on me that I am legally allowed to carry the meds though...and just hope it didn't come up.
