More on paypal
      #35969 - 10/22/02 05:39 AM

Have seen mixed opinions on this board about paypal. I had only 1 problem with them refusing to do anything after I was scammed & couldn't get a straight answer except it had been over 30 days. That was the last time I used my checking acct on paypal. Now I use cc with them so if they refuse to mediate I can still do a chargeback on card. If a company is internationally "verified" by paypal there should not be a time limit. It's easy to keep a customer waiting more than 30 days when waiting on an overseas shipment of meds. Have they changed any since being taken over by ebay? Anyone have any problems with them recently? (the last couple weeks) I think it's one of the best ways to send a payment & also offers a lot of protection by keeping your personal info personal.(acct #'s & such) Hopefully the customer service will be upgraded along with the rest of the site. Just my 2cents worth.

Have they changed? NO.........A couple of month's ago I paid (with cc) thru Paypal for a website service. The service was in the states but the owner was overseas.
My dispute was less than 30 days yet Paypal refused to credit my cc because it was considered a "service". So yes I did a chargeback with my cc. Oh and Paypal doesn't like that at all.

Since Ebay recently accquired PayPal,I wonder if this policy will change? I also had a dispute to no avail.
