empirin compound

its very old. i collect old pharmacuetical bottles. it doesnt have a label on it. on top of the cap it says epirin compound. i know it has codeine. i just want to know how much. any one with info please help. thanks. jed

I haven't heard of Empirin for years. I used to take Empirin #3 for migraines 30 years or so ago, and it worked beautifully. Someone at that time told me it was loaded with codeine, but I didn't care. It's probably the same codeine content as Tylenol #3 today. Empirin is/was an aspirin brand. I seem to think it was made by a company named Welcomme. Surely better for your liver than the Tylenol preparations nowadays.
