I still havent heard any mention of oil or gem money funding terrorism and we all know it does. Instead of the Bush administration encouraging carpooling and gas conservation they're targetting drug users. Those commercials they've been running on tv straight up blame drug using kids for blowing up buildings and killing cops and firepersons. Exploiting 11/9/021 like that for their own agenda pisses me off.
Btw, the day that happened me and a buddy were sitting in a hotel in Windsor watching all that on the news. We were getting ready to cross the Detroit border cross. Security was a b*tch when we did return. Nothing of a relationship to terorism was mentioned at that time. It was just reported as a typical drug bust.
You're right on Fluff. The gem industry currently has 2 source locations that are controversial and in POOR taste to receive material from; Zambia, for their exquisite emeralds and Tanzania for Tanzanite. Both mines are controlled by rebel armies that slaughter thousands and are funded by the material taken from those mines... (African diamonds as well).
A little of topic but freaky, my area gas station closed the next day. Of coarse guess who probably ran the place!!! It got all boarded up and police sat in the parking lot for weeks! For an area like mine that was very strange!
