Hi Fluff - sorry I wasnt' very clear was I? I am talking about the individual who is referred to on this board as "Dr. Best kept off the board". Do you know who that is and/or why it's best kept off the board?

When you post a doctor's name (hypothetically, let's say Dr. Smith), DrugBuyers has a feature that will substitute with the phrase, "Dr. Best Kept off the board" in place of Dr. Smith. It's 'best kept off the board', because they choose not to have the doctor(s) name on this forum, for what I would imagine would be obvious reasons. This can apply to many different doctors and organizations, I would assume. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but that's how I take it.

I always thought it was for doctors who are now email sources only, although in the past they may have been associated with one OP or another. If they do not now have a current web site, you cannot post their name directly, that's how I always took it. The "best if kept off the board" thing also seems to apply to defunct OPs (who would have no web site anymore), and just plain email sources who may never have had a web site. Take Dr. W, for example. DB has a thread on him in the US facts section, but I don't think anyone can post to it since he no longer has a web site, but he has been around a long time and has been with OPs that are now closed. Every time someone tries to spell out his name, it shows up as the "Best if kept off the board" thing. OTOH, I've seen plenty of other doc's names spelled out here who currently work for an OP with a web site.

Corrie,
It is a filtering feature that DB has.

It is a discreet doctor that does not like to have his name mentioned online...
It can also be a filtered word, or a replacement for a four letter word...
When you see "Better kept off the boards" instead of something else it means we added that word to our filters and everytime someone posts that filtered word, name, telephone number, or insult... you will see "Best if kept off the board" instead.
Please do not try to bypass the filters by posting S**T, As***e, or similar.
The filters are there for a good reason.
