Maybe I am weird but is anyone else able to smell something after they take hydrocodone and they start to kick in. I get this smell in my nose that is pretty faint, but can be stronger if i get a breath of fresh air. The smell is like what you would expect a crushed pill to smell like.
Just a curious question.
anyone else got stories about hydro experiences?

yeah, I get a peculiar smell in my nose also...I can't describe it very well though. I just know its there and goes away after a couple of moments. That's how I know everything is working well.

I found that I do not get that smell as much with 10/325 so maybe it is not so much the hydro as it is the other stuff in the pill?

I actually get a metallic taste in my mouth. But the lower the amount of APAP, the less taste there is.

either some of that pill is commin up, or its the fact that the sense of smell is most connected with the limbic system of the brain, which opioids affect by increasing dopamine activity there.

I've always noticed that, especially a larger dose. Can't describe it, but somewhat metallic/taste. Oxy is the same way, but not as strong a scent. I believe it's the drug passing thru the arteries/veins by the nasal/tongue/esophageal passages. On its way to the brain. Transient, but quite noticable. Placidyl used to do the same thing-very plasticy taste, well after swallowing the pill..Any pharm students actually know the answer to this? Thank you, J

With oxy the smell is much more noticeable, they say. On the other hand, one of my friends, on one occasion, had his eye wear off to the right and up so that you couldn't see his pupil any more, only the white of his eye! Man, it was freaky!

Yeah, I suppose the smell i get is a metallic smell, if that makes sense. It only lasts like 10 minutes or so.
