I may be able to point people in a direction, don't know if it's the right direction, but it's a start. PM or better yet email for more info on the far and few between places around this great globe that may have this sought after "strong Codine"

Hey all. I am a new subcriber to this website. I am in interested in purchasing dihydrocodeine, however, I am having a hard time finding pharmacies that have any left. Does anyone have any suggestions for me.

Great website by the way.

Yes, I have a suggestion. There must be 200 posts about DHC on DB. Learn how to use the search function. I'm not trying to be nasty, but just to give you some good advice. There is an immense amount of information on DB. For a subject like DHC, you'll get far more info. from the search function than you will from who ever just happens to reply today. And BTW, DHC is very scarce. You'll find the details already posted. And.... wecome to DB!

I appreciate what you're saying about using the search function. I just tried it under both dihydrocodeine and DHC and only this and one other thread came up.

I'm sure there's old posts, but with this topic, the info has to be current or it's probably useless.

Did I do it wrong or something?

no you did not do anything wrong.

what makes some members so short are a newbie with a few posts or non will make there first post"where can i get vicodin" or 'what is a good source of oxy"

alot of questions can be answered just by looking with the serching. it is just the repeating questions over and over again that make veteran members tired of retyping the same thing over and over again. because people are getting there post prevligase and asking quetions without resercing simple questions first.

all new members can PM people. I always answere a pm. especially from a newbie with a legitimate question or just to help point them in the right direction

go back to the search function again, and set the time to 1 year instead of one week.

Nope sure don't, but they used to carry it. I haven't been able to find any Dihydrocodeine from anybody in quite some time. PharmaAtHome, when they changed names from Gigapharm and moved said they were working on a deal to acquire it from another source, but that's been a long time ago. (year maybe or so) I sure wish someone had it!

DHC is hard to find anymore. Any source that used to carry, no longer does. Anyone who has it on their list is always out of order. I have tried to ge that for the last two years with no luck. I'm sorry to say that one is hard to come by.

Yeah, it's a shame, but I think it might be gone forever. There were three pharmacies in the Phillippines that had it but the seizure rate from there is out of control now. I believe it's a Homeland Security thing due to it being a hotbed of terrorist activity.

There's a couple that had it, but only for regular customers and it was listed under a different name. Again, the seizure rate precludes ordering it anyway. I know it's still manufactured as I've got literature on it.

I can't understand why some pharmacy can't contact the manufacturer in Malysia (sp) and get it handled. It worked great for me for a very long time. In it's absence, I've had to go to US ROPs and stronger medication. I didn't want to do that but had no choice.

I can tell you that 7.49 mgs of DHC isn't much at all. I used to get 60mg Contugesics - which were a bit much, actually. I'm not sure what's up with Synalgos DC - that was a US-approved DHC-containing pain med. DHC can be bought OTC in the UK - or at least it could a few years ago. I always found DHC to be rather rough on the stomach and a bit "raw" - not nearly as refined as hydro, or even codeine phosphate. Just MHO. Good luck!

My experience ....a few years ago I was prescibed something called Panlor DC(I think that is dihy with tylenol and caffiene)..from what I remember they were red capsules.I had to take two of them for pain relief. They were not as strong as a hydro and the caffeine that was in it made me sick.
Since back then I haven't seen any at all or even heard of docs prescribing them around here.I do know a friend of mine gets a syrup that is called Panmist and it's suppose to have it in it(I don't know for sure tho)
Just my experience...

To answer a few questions that I know "a little about"-1) As far as having a small amount of chemicals(mg wise) in a larger pill, what you will find is that it is mostly what they call fillers(to make the pill bigger and look like its worth paying for) and binders(which are usually harmless starch based products that hold everything together). Have you ever "tried" to make a pill that looks legit. Trust me, its not as easy as it looks!!! Then especially with the generics you're going to have to include "coloring agents" to "mimick" the appearance of the actual pill color. Spectrophotometry is in itself an "enlightening" subject.(sorry, but I couldn't resist the pun) 2)If one were TRULY interested in the different strengths of various medications(i.e. legal over the counter pills then your best bet is to go to a VERY well stocked book store and purchase what is called the Physicians Desk Reference (PDR) which is the same book that doctors use when deciding which medication to prescribe to you depending upon your ailment. This book is legal to buy, at least in the United States. Also, just for your info, 1st and 2nd year students are basically the only ones that use this book although doctors keep them in their office. After a couple of years of medical practice one tends to use "fall back" medications which older doctors usually convince their younger protege's of why their own personal choice is usually the best. However, also included in the PDR is the molecular breakdown of the medication, what specific binders and fillers and whatever else may be in there is also included as well as the potency equivalent to I believe morphine. In other words it would tell you how effective Hydrocodone is compared to morphine and more importantly, HOW MUCH HYDROCODONE (mg) WOULD BE NEEDED TO EQUAL THE STANDARDIZED DOSAGE OF MORPHINE, usually given to rats. It also tells you what the average effective human dosage would be per Kg(Kilogram) and thus that is how they come up with either take every 4 or every 6 hours, depending upon body weight. It also tells you what the metabolites are as well as the "LD-50," which means given this much of the drug per Kg of body weight is what is needed for 50% of the test population to live and 50% of the population was given the "LD" or Lethal Dose....But what do I know, I just read it in the Enquirer somewhere because "Enquiring Minds want to Know!!!"

Look for synalgos DC. Dihydrocodeine aspirin and caffeine. Its still in production. But its old meaning came on market back in late 70s Drs were prescribing back then. They don't really prescribe it that much since hydros came on market. Back in those days you really didn't see alot of hydros only in old cough meds like citra forte syrup . Which is no longer on the market

Bamboo,

I live in the Uk and you can get codeine products here over the counter. The max is Nurofen plus with 12.8 codiene and it is full of a form of apap called paracetamol. It is okay but I would be careful with the paracetaol because its dangerous in large amounts. Try Paramol, it has dHC and is available over the counter. I think it works the best for pain.

Hope this helps!!

At the ER last year when I had pleurisy I was given a script for Panlor SS ---supposedly double the strength about wht you talking about--it was DHC--good stuff too---I could type 100 WPM it seemed---cannot find online though, and not too many docs will write for it, that I know of.

If ANY drug makes you itch. Taking a antihistamine to offset the itch could be not only dangerous, but fatal if you continue taking the offending medication. It's called anaphylaxis. Beware
